The new, full-size, pure-electric E-Transit arrives from mid-2022, featuring a 68kWh battery, a driving range of up to 317km1, and fast-charging capability from 15 per cent to 80 per cent in around 34 minutes2. After half a century as the world’s best-selling van, Transit continues to lead the charge.Keep Me Informed
With an estimated driving range of up to 317km1, E-Transit is perfect for urban environments and fixed drive routes. The peak output of 198kW and 430Nm of torque actually makes it the most powerful Transit currently available. Plus, E-Transit’s drive modes are tailored to the electric drive train, with a special Eco Mode that aims to provide an 8-10% improvement in energy usage, maximising driving range.
The E-Transit’s intelligently designed battery sits underneath the main body of the electric van to maximise room. This allows for cargo capacity of up to 12.4 cubic metres, identical to that of its full-size diesel counterpart. The E-Transit has a gross vehicle mass of up to 4.2 tonnes, with a targeted payload of 1,616 kg.
E-Transit features both AC charging and DC fast-charging. The on-board 11.3kW charger delivers a 100 per cent charge in a little over 8 hours2. Using a 115kW high-power DC fast-charger, E-Transit can top-up the battery from 15 per cent to 80 per cent in around 34 minutes2.
Many businesses are looking to make the switch to electrified vehicles, spurred by strong interest from consumers and growing government support. E-Transit will help fleet customers, especially, on their road to net zero, lowering their carbon footprint through cleaner logistic solutions.
Switching to an electric van lets your business take advantage of lower vehicle running costs. Plus, the E-Transit is covered by a 5 Year/Unlimited Kilometre Ford Express New Vehicle warranty3.

Officially homologated energy efficiency figures including driving range will be published closer to on-sale date for Australia using ADR 81/02 certification. The figure quoted above is the targeted range and charge time based on manufacturer tested values and calculation according to the present European requirements that use the WLTP drive cycle. The declared fuel/energy consumptions, CO2-emissions and electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2017/1151, as last amended. Actual range varies with conditions such as external elements, driving behaviours, vehicle maintenance, lithium-ion battery age and state of health.
The charging rate decreases as battery reaches full capacity. Your results may vary based on peak charging times and battery state of charge.
